As one of our initiatives, the Africa Center hosts Field Notes, a communications project that serves as a platform for students, faculty, research partners and practitioners to communicate and discuss pressing social, economic and environmental issues of African sustainability.
In this segment, we talk to Brett Bruyere, an associate professor in the Warner College of Natural Resources. Brett’s teaching and research addresses environmental communication and community-based conservation, often in a context of developing world settings. We chat about his work with pastoral women in Samburu, Kenya, the ethical considerations of conducting cross-cultural research, and more.
