Color and Pattern: The Spirit of West Africa

Color and Pattern: The Spirit of West Africa is a curated companion show to Wandering Spirit: African Wax Prints which is on view from August 6 to November 13 at the Avenir Museum of Fashion and Merchandising. Both of these exhibits will explore the colonial ties within West African wax prints and beads as well discuss the cultural and historic importance of the vibrant colors and patterns within beads and textiles.
