Climate Adaptation in Global Perspectives

You are invited to attend the panel on “Climate Adaptation in Global Perspectives,” which will be held on Thursday April 11th at 12:30pm – 1:45pm in LSC 376-378 as part of the CLA Democracy Summit.
There are two guest speakers and a discussant for the panel:
- Dr. Mara Goldman, Associate Professor of Geography at CU Boulder, will be discussing informal governance and community participation in climate adaptation in Tanzania and other parts of Africa.
- Dr. Ritwick Ghosh, Assistant professor at University of Denver’s Korbel School of Int’l Studies, will be discussing the challenges the government is facing in constructing a domestic carbon offset program to meet Paris Climate pledges in India.
- Lastly, Julia Munsaka, Ph.D candidate, Department of Political Science, will be our discussant and talk about their work as well as her own research on the role of traditional leaders in climate governance in Zambia and Africa.
Dr. Julia Lee from the Department of Political Science will be be moderating the panel.
We will have refreshments and snacks. RVSP is not required.
