African Art in America, Provence Research, and Restitution

Join us for this exciting talk on “African Art in America, Provenance Research, and Restitution” on Monday, February 24, in the Lory Student Center (LSC) Room 386 at 4pm MST. 

Dr. Cory Gundlach, Curator of African Art at the Stanley Museum and Director of AfricanStudies at the University of Iowa, will discuss his work leading up to the historic event, how and why this restitution took place, and what it means for the future of the Stanley Museum and other museums in America.

The event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be provided.
