Africa & Ale :: A Successful Africa Center Event!

This video highlights our Africa & Ale event, which was held October 22, 2015 at SoGES in Johnson Hall.  The event was a terrific success, with members of the CSU community coming together to discuss current events, education, and research related to Africa.  Horse & Dragon Brewing Company of Fort Collins donated the southern African-inspired beer, which was created specifically for the Africa Center!!!

Ebola in Context: Ebolavirus, the West African Outbreak, and One Health Global Implications

CSU One Health Club, CSU Wildlife Disease Association, The Africa Center for Sustainable African Ecosystems and Societies under Global Change, and the School of Global Environmental Sustainability hosted an evening of discussion with local experts in infectious diseases, public health, and African history. The discussion included the pathogenesis of Ebolavirus, the context of the current Ebola outbreak in West Africa, and the implications of the current outbreak in the age of globalization.

Fertilizer worth spreading TED talk by The Africa Center's PI, Jessica Davis

This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. Jessica Davis, professor of Soil and Crop Sciences and a Primary Team Member of The Africa Center has designed a new kind of nitrogen fertilizer which is created to be sustainable, economical and renewable.
